Univ.-Doz. Dr. Martin Nuhr MSc.

As head of the NUHR Medical Center, the innovative rehabilitation center in Lower Austria, I continue to carry my grandfather's philosophy into the future - with conviction and great enthusiasm. After my school years in Krems, I studied at the University of Vienna, where I received my doctorate in 1996.

Residency

Then I completed my specialist training at the University Clinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vienna General Hospital, where I was allowed to work as a senior physician and head of the General Outpatient Clinic and the Pain Outpatient Clinic from 2003.

In 2004 I habilitated as the youngest in my field and was appointed associate university professor on October 01. Between 2006 and 2009 I completed a postgraduate MSc program in Interdisciplinary Pain Management at the Medical University of Vienna. Together we are allowed to contribute to the well-being of many health-seeking people on a daily basis.

Founding of the Karl Landsteiner Institute for Physical-Rehabilitative Medicine

One of the most important steps for me was not only the founding of the Karl Landsteiner Institute for Physical-Rehabilitative Medicine in Senftenberg, but also and especially the assumption of the medical direction of the spa and rehabilitation center NUHR Medical Center.

Here I exemplify what I always emphasize in the context of guest professorships, national and international lectures and scientific work: the development of new treatment strategies and rehabilitation concepts for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

In doing so, I know that my equally competent and empathetic team of experienced physicians in Senftenberg is always at my side. Together, we are able to contribute to the well-being of many health-seeking people on a daily basis.
